Ok so sheep stealing in parts of the country is a serious thing and not something to be sneezed at, all that aside though RTE’s News report on the issue  on last nights 9 O’clock news raised a few smiles around the country

Star of the show was Kerry Farmer Mickey Joe O’Shea (so good he was named twice) who through the thickest Kerry accent ever heard by the human ear explained the plight of sheep stealing on his Kerry farm in the picturesque Mount Brandon area.

Aside from the seriousness of the issue of sheep stealing, Mickey’s beautiful but completely incomprehensible lilt was the main talking point on social media.

Viewers took to twitter in their droves to tweet about Mickey Joe, Many seemed dumbfounded by Mickey Joe’s native accent

Gardaí in Co Kerry are investigating the theft of up to 60 sheep on Mount Brandon. One of the farmers is offering a reward for information leading to the return of the ewes, which are worth thousands of euro.
