Kieran McGeeney is the epitome of calling a spade a spade. After his Armagh’s side weekend exit to Roscommon in the Rd 4 qualifiers McGeeney didn’t hold back in his post-match interviews

McGeeney was particularly peeved at some of the criticisms his side has received from the critics, critics he clearly doesn’t have a whole lot of time for.

Speaking to the Irish News after the thrilling encounter with Roscommon in Portlaoise McGeeney didn’t hold back;

‘At times you listen to a lot of shit outside – usually from people who haven’t a clue. They sit outside and they pontificate. I played against a lot of these fellas and they were fucking useless back then and they’re still fucking useless’

McGeeney was very open when speaking to the paper and its worth a read in full, check it out  here.

As anyone who’s listened to more than one second of England manager Gareth Southgate’s post-match  interviews  will attest to, these interviews are generally  full of rolled out clichés and basically can be an art in talking and saying nothing at the same time.

However there are occasions when managers let their guards down and channel their inner McGeeney.

Have a look at some of the more interesting post-match interviews, from Ian Holloways Seth Blather impression to Sean Dyche inviting journalist out for beers, oh if only more mangers could be like this.
